IL-14: Foster Statement Commemorating Veterans Day
Geneva, IL – Businessman and Scientist Bill Foster released the following statement honoring our Veterans:
"Today I join the millions of people across the nation who honor the sacrifice and commitment our veterans have made to this great country.
"Unfortunately, the Bush Administration does not share our values on this issue. They continue to oppose a 3.5% pay increase for our service members in Iraq, and the VA has provided a woefully inadequate response to the mental health needs of our veterans returning home.
"As a scientist, I've seen the hard data and I know we are not doing enough. In Congress, I will vote to increase our Veterans' pay and address their health needs," said Foster.
