UPDATED: Foster Secures the Endorsements of 26 Nobel Prize Winners

Strong support of Scientific Community Adds Momentum to Campaign

Geneva, IL – Today Bill Foster announced that his campaign has received the endorsements of 26 Nobel Prize winners.

"The impressive support for Dr. Foster by these U.S. Nobel Laureates speaks to the urgency with which scientific judgment is required for this country to face the economic and environmental challenges of the 21st century," said Nobel Laureate Dr. Leon Lederman, the Founder of Illinois Math and Science Academy.

Foster, a Harvard-trained particle physicist has enjoyed a successful scientific career including participation in the discovery of the top quark and the invention and construction of some of the giant machines at Fermilab. Prior to his career in science, Foster had been a businessman. At 19, he and his younger brother started a business in their basement that now manufactures most of the theater lighting equipment in the United States.

"My entire career has been spent solving problems and I'm thrilled to receive the support of so many distinguished Nobel Laureates. I'm running because Washington needs more solutions and less squabbling. As a scientist and businessman, I have the right formula to bring about real change," said Foster.
