Rep. Judy Biggert and Congressional Republicans continue to hold middle class tax cuts hostage as expiration looms
Naperville, IL – Middle class families are facing a $1,000 tax increase if Congresswoman Judy Biggert (R-Hinsdale) and her Republican colleagues continue to stand in the way of a payroll tax cut extension. While Congresswoman Biggert and Tea Party Republicans in Washington are holding this bipartisan tax cut hostage, Bill Foster has called on them to extend this $1,000 tax break to middle class families.
“Congresswoman Judy Biggert and her Tea Party colleagues need to put politics aside and make sure middle class families won’t see a $1,000 tax increase this Christmas,” said Bill Foster. “It’s time for Congress to take middle class families out of the line of fire. Congresswoman Judy Biggert should stand up now and pass this extension, not stand with the tea party forces, who are putting their political agenda ahead of middle class families.”
